TERMS - CONDITIONS - RULES


Limited to 650 birds on a first come, first served basis

Perch fee is £40 for each bird payable before birds arrive and is non refundable.

The £100 per bird activation must be received at least 3 weeks before the 1st Hotspot and all activation fees are used for prize money without any deductions.

Should your activated bird be missing or die before Hotspot 1 basketing takes place, your activation fee for this bird will be refunded in full and you cease to have any rights or claims on the bird should it return.

Any birds not activated will be sold as Venture birds and the original owners will have no claim to any monies either by way of prize money or auction sale.


Payments may be made in instalments, but must be fully paid up before the first Hotspot race.

All birds will be raced to the lofts in Hernicourt France
All birds must have an Association/Union life ring
Fanciers must complete their own transfers
Young birds need to arrive at the lofts aged between 25 to 40 days old
On the advice of Dr Henk Deweerd, birds need to be vaccinated with Paramixo before shipment
and we will administer a second dose here at the lofts.
Intakes will be January to the end of March
The final race will be around 280 miles (450km)
The 1st prize will be £10,000 based on 300 activated birds

The 4 Hotspots will be carried out by Lou and the Final Race with the Federation.

Hotspot 1 - Thursday 10th July - Beauvais 70 miles (112km)
Hotspot 2 - Thursday 17th July - Pontoise 91 miles (147km)
Hotspot 3 - Thursday 24th July - Ablis 132 miles (212km)
Hotspot 4 - Thursday 31st July - Chateaudun 167 miles (269km)
Final Race - Saturday 16th August - Gueret 294 miles (473 km)
All race points are subject to change

After the final race the birds will be auctioned and after expenses, 50% owner, 50% Loft

Any race disputes arising when racing with our French Club, the French Federation Rules will apply and when we convoy to races any decisions made by John & Lou McGee & Richard & Helen Elliott will apply.

Young bird racing commences in early June and they are raced with old birds, therefore your birds must be bred early to allow training before racing commences.

PEDIGREES & TRANSFERS MUST ACCOMPANY BIRDS OTHERWISE
ANY AUCTION MONIES WILL BE FORFEITED

PRIZE MONEY:

based on 600 activated birds - £60,000 prize money with 1st prize of £20,000
based on 500 activated birds - £50,000
based on 400 activated birds - £40,000
based on 300 activated birds - £30,000



ACE PIGEON is the shortest overall time of all the Hotspots and Final race (all 5 races must be flown). If joint winners, the highest positioned pigeon from the final race wins. Other than exceptional circumstances, to qualify the birds must arrive by the end of day two.



*   When requested to pay out winnings or auction monies in Euros, the amount you receive will be our GB Pounds figure which is then converted into Euros using our Bank's Pounds to Euros Exchange Rate applicable on the transaction day.   All Prize and Auction monies will be paid out after the auction has taken place.

Because of loft space, entries are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
(Remember space is limited to a maximum of 650 birds]
